Company Milestones

2001

Company Founded

SIMPL Ghana was established in Accra as a mining equipment distribution company, serving small and medium-scale mining operations across the Greater Accra and Ashanti regions.

2005

First Major Contract

Secured our first large-scale contract to supply and maintain heavy mining equipment for a major gold mining operation in the Ashanti Region, marking our entry into enterprise-level services.

2010

Expanded Operations

Expanded beyond equipment distribution into full-scale mining operations, launching our first company-managed surface mining project in the Western Region of Ghana.

2015

ISO Certification

Achieved ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications, demonstrating our commitment to quality management, environmental responsibility, and occupational health and safety.

2018

Sustainability Initiative

Launched our comprehensive sustainability program, including mine rehabilitation, renewable energy integration, and community development projects impacting over 50,000 residents.

2022

Regional Expansion

Extended operations beyond Ghana into neighbouring West African countries, establishing offices and service centres in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Sierra Leone.

Kwaku Appiah

Chief Executive Officer

With over 30 years of experience in the global mining industry, Kwaku founded SIMPL Ghana with a vision to transform mining across West Africa. He holds an MBA from the University of Ghana and a degree in Mining Engineering from KNUST.

Adwoa Boateng

Chief Operations Officer

Adwoa oversees all mining operations and technical services. A geological engineer by training, she brings 20 years of field experience and has led some of the largest open-pit mining projects in Ghana.

Yaw Mensah

Chief Financial Officer

Yaw directs SIMPL Ghana's financial strategy and investor relations. A chartered accountant with deep expertise in mining finance, he has been instrumental in securing funding for the company's expansion across West Africa.

Nana Adu-Gyamfi

Director of Sustainability

Nana leads the company's sustainability and community development initiatives. An environmental scientist with a passion for responsible mining, she has designed award-winning programmes that benefit mining communities across the region.
